Traditional Colleges and Universities in Colorado
Colorado colleges and universities offer two and four year degree programs. Examples of traditional colleges and universities include Harvard University, New York University, University of Texas, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Bard College, and Middlebury College. Generally, these colleges require completion of a liberal arts core curriculum in addition to coursework in a major field of study, and offer majors in subject areas (English, history, philosophy, Spanish, etc.) which may not be designed to prepare students for a particular career as well as majors (accounting, business, pre-law, education, journalism, engineering) which are career specific.
