Universities in Connecticut
Connecticut colleges and universities offer two and four year degree programs. Examples of traditional colleges and universities in Connecticut include Albertus Magnus College, Fairfield University, Trinity College, Quinnipiac College, the University of Connecticut, Wesleyan University, and Yale University. Generally, these colleges require completion of a liberal arts core curriculum in addition to coursework in a major field of study, and offer majors in subject areas (English, history, philosophy, Spanish, etc.) which may not be designed to prepare students for a particular career as well as majors (accounting, business, pre-law, education, journalism, engineering) which are career specific.
