Universities in Massachusetts
Massachusetts colleges and universities offer two and four year degree programs. Massachusetts colleges and universities include Amherst College, Assumption College, Babson College, Bentley College, Boston College, Brandeis University, Clark University, College of Holy Cross, Emerson College, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Simmons College, Springfield College, Smith College, University of Massachusetts, Williams College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Generally, these colleges require completion of a liberal arts core curriculum in addition to coursework in a major field of study, and offer majors in subject areas (English, history, philosophy, Spanish, etc.) which may not be designed to prepare students for a particular career as well as majors (accounting, business, pre-law, education, journalism, engineering) which are career specific.
