Universities in New Jersey
New Jersey colleges and universities offer two and four year degree programs. New Jersey is home to traditional universities and colleges which include Drew University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Monmouth University, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Rider College, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Rutgers University. Generally, these colleges require completion of a liberal arts core curriculum in addition to coursework in a major field of study, and offer majors in subject areas (English, history, philosophy, Spanish, etc.) which may not be designed to prepare students for a particular career as well as majors (accounting, business, pre-law, education, journalism, engineering) which are career specific.
