Universities in New Mexico
New Mexico colleges and universities offer two and four year degree programs. New Mexico is home to traditional universities and colleges which include College of Santa Fe, Eastern New Mexico University, St. John’s College, University of New Mexico, and Western New Mexico University. Generally, these colleges require completion of a liberal arts core curriculum in addition to coursework in a major field of study, and offer majors in subject areas (English, history, philosophy, Spanish, etc.) which may not be designed to prepare students for a particular career as well as majors (accounting, business, pre-law, education, journalism, engineering) which are career specific.
