Universities in Vermont
Vermont colleges and universities offer two and four year degree programs. The state of Vermont is home to colleges and universities including Bennington College, Burlington College, Green Mountain College, Marlboro College, Middlebury College, Norwich University, St. Michael’s College, Southern Vermont College, and University of Vermont. Generally, these colleges require completion of a liberal arts core curriculum in addition to coursework in a major field of study, and offer majors in subject areas (English, history, philosophy, Spanish, etc.) which may not be designed to prepare students for a particular career as well as majors (accounting, business, pre-law, education, journalism, engineering) which are career specific.
