I received the spears scholarship and it’s because I am a dual degree student of JD and MBA I was very focused on time management at a very young age because I had that backbone already built I danced a lot when I was younger so I went on to pursue my dance degree the reason why I was very interested in loyal is because I knew I wanted to practice in a field that would be very challenging so Loyola has a great tax law program I knew I would be able to get the experience in various internships and fields to make sure that I knew exactly what college scholarships I wanted to do I have worked except for 1l year at least 20 hours a week through a law school my fiance serves as a great inspiration for my life he’s a very ambitious person he’s allowed me to follow

my dreams and followed me to Chicago I was very interested in mystery T I applied to be a fellow the organization is committed to women issues in the legal profession and advancing the status of women and I’m so fortunate to be one of seventeen fellows for the 2014-15 year people don’t really recognize the issues that women face in the profession like equal pay it’s given me some very practical skills and also leadership capabilities after my first year I was a member of two larger NAL’s I went on in my third year to become a lead articles editor Boyle’s approach to the law is very centered it’s very clear you know what to expect it’s just kind of a spectrum of learning I don’t feel like it’s like most law schools and the kind of competition that you feel and face there

the scholarship has helped me in this last year just by lessening the burden of law school it’s helped encourage me to live up to what the scholarship I think stands for recognition for a hard-working student passionate about law and issues in the profession so I want to live that out every day I’m very fortunate to be honored with this scholarship it’s such a great relief any little bit helps especially on the front end I’m very thankful you
