hi I’m Annette Zimmerman president and CEO of prime way Federal Credit Union I am happy to introduce the lucra leadership scholarship in honor of a great leader mr. Ernest lucre who recently retired as our chairman of the board mr. Leuchars college scholarships and wisdom have made a positive difference for prime way our membership and our team in the financial services industry credit unions are unique because our board members are volunteers not stockholders and they are elected by the membership to represent the membership naturally this makes

it simple for them to make decisions that are in the best interest of the membership I am pleased that mr. Leuchars legacy the lucra leadership scholarship will provide ongoing educational opportunities for our future leaders hi I’m TW jolly the executive vice president and chief operating officer of prime Way Federal Credit Union and I’m happy to come to you today to talk about the Ernest lucre leadership scholarship and what that really means about being a leader to me and what I look for when I’m hiring leaders and I think that really comes down to three things the first being those individuals that display a mindset of achievement individuals is set and achieve big goals and people that overcome obstacles and focus on success the second thing

I look for is individuals that have the ability to motivate others around them these individuals rally people to believe in the project or mission and achieve goals through teamwork and the third thing which is really important is that individuals show self-discipline in their work ethic these individuals have balanced several priorities and devoted the time and energy to be successful and I think if you have those three things your leader leadership is never asking anyone to do something that you wouldn’t do yourself leadership is orchestration making a positive difference compassion empowers integrity but most of all it’s caring [Music]
